Helmut Lipfert was shot down 15 times, twice by Russian fighters and 13 times by AA fire. Despite this he was never injured, born in 1916 he joined II/JG52 on the 16th of December 1942 and had scored his first victory within a month. By 1944 Lipfert had scored his 100th victory, promoted to Gruppenkommandeur in the summer of 1944 he scored his 200th victory on the 8th of April 1945. In all Lipfert scored 203 victories in 700 missions. |
